The Public Order

Nowadays the public order is a priority as far as the police are concerned.

It’s a large field of activity which implies much work.

The Public Order police or the Community Police is a component of the Romanian National Police whose activity is based on maintaining the public order and safety in the urban and rural localities and it’s also based on the prevention and combating the crimes, felonies and even the misdemeanors.

So the main objective of this activity is to ensure the public safety and calm, to repress the violence and the crimes. In order to face this challenge we have to be very well prepared physically and in the some way mental. To achieve the latter we have to gain experience; I said we had to gain experience but if I think better I may say with the past time the experience will be gained with or without our will, because once we continue or once we action in this work we surely will gain more and more experience.

This work implies a lot of responsibilities and one worth mentioning is the fact that we live behind the family and we don’t have so much time for ourselves in order to do a good thing.

This activity is the most popular, I mean in whole police work, approximately 60% of police work is about public order.

The people are important in this because they want to be protected; they want to feel in safe. This protection could be easily assured if the patrolman who assures it, would be able to have a good presence, to be stern; he must (attempt to) cope with criminals, wrong-doers. The patrolman must be watchful at every move.
