1. Present Simple

A: S + VI

I: Do/Does + S + VI

N: S + Don`t /Doesn`t + VI

*A: pers.a III-a sg. : vb. + -s

+ -es (pt vb. terminate in o, sh, ch, ss)

Vb. terminate in y: vocala + y + s (ex.plays)

consoana + y(devine i) + es(ex.cries)

Use:

- General actions in the present;

- Adv: always, never, ever, usually, sometimes, often;

- Actiuni frecvente: every day, once a year;

- General truths(teoreme, definitii general valabile);

- Sports commentaries;

- Scene directions;

- Future actions - official programs.

2. Present Continuous

A: S + am

+ is + vb.ing

+ are

I: Am

Is + S + vb.ing

Are

N: S + am not

+ isn`t + vb.ing

+ aren`t

- un singur l se dubleaza;

- un singur e la terminatie cade;

- cand sunt doi e nu se schimba nimic.

Use:

- actions in the moment of speaking: Now;

- temporary actions in the present: - only today

- only this week

- general actions that irritates the speaker(ex. You are always using my pen.)

- future actions - personal plans
